What this product sells

The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) publishes the full provincial well licence list via a Tableau-backed CSV feed (https://www2.aer.ca/t/Production/views/COM-WellLicenceAllList/WellLicenceAllAB.csv). No login, refreshed daily, ~250k+ wells province-wide once historical records are included. The feed exposes licence number, licensee (operator company), surface location (LSD-SEC-TWP-RGE-MER), well status (Issued / Drilled / Producing / Suspended / Abandoned / Reclaimed), and status dates. This product carves the feed into a southern-Alberta slice (within ~200km of Calgary — Foothills, Mountain View, Wheatland, Rocky View, Vulcan, and surrounding municipal districts) and ships three tabs: newly-issued licences (last 90d — warmest drilling/completion signal), recently-suspended/abandoned wells (last 365d — reclamation lead signal), and the full active southern-Alberta inventory.

Who buys it

- Calgary-based pipefitters, electricians, and instrumentation techs servicing well sites - Abandonment and reclamation contractors (the "wells of the past" backlog has a generation of work in it) - Environmental remediation, soil/groundwater consultancies - Hauling, vacuum trucks, frac sand suppliers - Wellhead, valves, casing, tubular suppliers - Surveyors and lease-construction GCs

Honest framing

This is a public regulatory feed of LICENCE STATUS — not a tendering feed or a vendor list. The buyer is the OPERATOR (Licensee) named on each row; the buyer of this report uses that operator name to source contact info via their own corporate channels (Outscraper, AB Corporate Registry, LinkedIn). New ("Issued") licences are the warmest pre-drill signal but not every Issued licence becomes a Drilled well — conversion runs ~60-80% depending on commodity prices. Abandoned and Suspended statuses are the most reliable reclamation/remediation signal because the AER eventually forces closure work on every one. Oil-sands area wells (north of Twp 65 / Fort McMurray) are excluded — out of Calgary buyer scope.
