What is a team seat?
A team seat gives a colleague their own magic-link login to your Shovel Radar portal. They can view and download the same deliverables included in your subscription. Weekly email deliveries continue to go to the account owner's email only — seats provide portal access, not separate email delivery.
Seats are included — there is no per-seat charge. All plans include at least 2 additional seats (3 users total including the owner).
How many seats do I get?
- Single-product plans ($49–$149/mo): 2 additional seats (3 users total)
- Bundle plans ($249+/mo): 4 additional seats (5 users total)
- Enterprise / whale-list plans ($999+/mo): unlimited seats — email us to add more
Your current seat count and limit are shown in the Team seats section of your portal dashboard.
Adding a teammate
- Sign in to your portal.
- Scroll to the Team seats section.
- Enter your teammate's work email address and click Add seat.
- Your teammate will receive a magic-link email. They click the link to sign in — no password needed.
Seats take effect immediately. Your teammate can sign in as soon as they receive the email (usually within 1–2 minutes).
How teammates sign in
Teammates use the same magic-link process as the account owner:
- Go to app/ and enter their email address.
- Click the sign-in link emailed to them.
- They are taken directly to the portal with access to all files in the subscription.
Magic links expire after 15 minutes. If a link expires, they can request a new one from the sign-in page.
Removing a seat
In the Team seats section of your portal, click the × next to a teammate's email. Their access is revoked immediately — any active session they have will expire within a few minutes.
You can re-add someone at any time (as long as you have remaining seat capacity).
Need more seats?
If your team is larger than the included seat limit, email matthew@shovelradar.com. Additional seats can be added to any plan at no extra cost for teams up to 10 — just ask.
Seat security
Each seat holder authenticates via email magic link — there are no shared passwords. If a team member leaves, remove their seat from the portal immediately. Portal sessions are valid for 30 days; removing a seat invalidates the session on the next portal request.
