What this product sells

Calgary's open building-permit feed contains hundreds of commercial permits with parking-lot, parkade, asphalt, or surface-work scope buried in the description field. Most municipal-paving products (including our own Roadway Construction Watch) cover what the City spends on public roads — not what private owners spend on their commercial lots.

This product surfaces the private commercial side: every permit with paving / parking / parkade / sealcoat / line-painting / hard-surface scope, filtered to Non-Residential, $25K+. Then split into two pipelines:

  • Active Pipeline — applied in the last 24 months. New builds + expansions + recent alterations. Cold-outreach window before the GC books trades.
  • Maintenance Pipeline — completed 2-6 years ago. The asphalt is at the age where it needs sealcoat (~year 3), line repainting (~year 5), or full mill-and-overlay (~year 7). Warm sales for service-contract pitches.

Who buys it

Honest framing

Each row carries: permit number, status, applied + issued + completed dates, permit class, work class, full description, applicant name, contractor name (when present), estimated project cost, total sqft, address, community, lat/long, project-size band, and a tailored pitch angle.

What you don't get from raw permit data: phone numbers. The applicant + contractor names are starting points — use them to skip-trace via Google or LinkedIn, or add the Apollo decision-maker add-on if you want phones served on a plate.
